I look forward to sharing some educational posts about the hobbies I enjoy. There are lots of ways to manage your bees, chickens, and garden and I hope you find some helpful tips or just enjoy reading.
The picture is from one of my hives in June 2022 during a honey harvest. This is a great example of a frame you would want to pull for extraction. You will notice that the frame is “capped” honey. Typically you want your frames at least 90% capped. This frame, you will notice the honey is drawn past the top bar, making it easier for me to uncap it. The cappings are a bright white because they were recently capped during the May honey flow.
